All things Tomato!

For most Victorians, the long weekend in March is a celebration of the 8-hour day, the Moomba festival, and the last trip to the beach to say goodbye to Summer. But to those of us with Mediterranean heritage, the March long weekend means just one thing - Sauce!

This year, in the weeks before, I taught a few workshops titled "All things tomato!". In these we made passatta, Aussie Tomato sauce, chutney and sundried tomatoes.
It's messy work, but such fun :)

Well done to all who attended the workshops. I then had another 40 kgs or so of Roma tomatoes to make up for Rie's Kitchen sales and my own use. I certainly don't want to see a tomato for a while :)
