What an amazing year for stone fruit!

What a sad story on today's news with Goulburn Valley farmers having to dump perfect peaches following a bumper season.
Two weeks ago I was priveleged to be in that part of Victoria. My travels took me from Milloo to Kyabram, Shepparton and Bendigo. Along the way, I visited a couple of orchards, gained some preserving tips, ate a tonne of fruit! and was the recipient of a generous gift - 12 kgs of blood plums. The plums come coutesy of Elaine and Kelvin Mitchell of Milloo.

So now you can enjoy some fantastic plum jam! Just visit my shop on the bar on the left of screen. But hurry, there is only two dozen jars left (my family went crazy for this one)
