The Royal Melbourne Show 2013
It's that time of year again! when madness takes control and people walk around the town with coloured wigs, oversized glasses carrying giant stuffed toys!!
In the midst of all that, their is the almost calm CWA Cafeteria, where from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm, the doors are open to the public. We serve approximately 200 hot breakfasts, 350 lunches and 200 dinners each day. That doesn't include the 1500 scones made each day, slices, cakes, sandwiches cups of tea....
I have had the privilege this year of again working with this wonderful team of women. I've been put "on the till" this year, so have had the opportunity to talk to the thousands that queue each day to take a load off their feet and enjoy a home cooked meal.
Added to that, yesterday I had the opportunity to demonstrate gluten free cooking at the "Taste of Victoria" exhibition. This year I made Madeleines. They were delicious!
