It's sauce time!

Ahh that wonderful bitey tomato aroma is floating down the corridor as I write this blog  :). Its the middle of February, and although not a great season for tomatoes this year, just under 6 kilos of wonderful, home grown sweetness are in the pot, simmering away. It takes about 2 hours for the richness to develop.

And did you notice I said the aroma was floating down the corridor? Yes that's right, my beautiful new kitchen passed the council health inspection, and is now a registered kitchen Yeah!!!! So now I can make up my wonderful jams and preserves here at home - after dark when its not too hot.
